Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Review

The Tria Hair Removal System

Tria Hair Removal System

Tria Hair Removal System

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

A few months I was asked to take part in a Blogger review program for Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision which normally I do not participate in unless I find the product useful, intriguing and of real value to my readers. (Trust me—I turn things down all of the time!) But after meeting the Tria reps at the Fitness Magazine Meet & Tweet last year and honing in on the sweet design of their hair remover I eagerly jumped in.

In my first post I talked about my past hair removal disasters which included bleaching creams that turned my upper lip yellow, wax that burned my face and a TV product that left me bruised all over. Hair is a big deal to me. I fuss and fight with those on the top of my head and struggle with the rest of my body getting rid of them.

A few things about the Tria system that made me want to try them out:

  • The Tria Hair Removal Precision is the first FDA-cleared, at home laser hair removal device that uses the exact same diode laser technology used in professional dermatologists’’ offices for permanent results.
  • Clinical studies have shown up to 70% hair reduction after two treatments.
  • The product’s lightweight, ergonomic shape is designed to treat the smaller more sensitive areas like the underarms, bikini line, upper lip, and other curvy areas of the body (like the ankles!)

Today I am offering my own review of the Tria Laser Precision in my latest Vlog below. I was not paid for this post and Tria did provide me the product to try out. Check it out!

So my big tips for using the Tria effectively:

  • Start at the lower level of intensity to build up to the feeling. Some people think it is akin to a rubber band snap but I found it more like a blast of heat from a hair dryer-ish.
  • You can shave in between treatments but do not pluck or wax (I screwed this up the first time I tried it!)
  • Plan to spend a few minutes on each spot you are treating and don’t rush through it. I would usually just watch the clock on my TV to keep me in line.

Follow Tria on social media at Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.

That’s it for this time. I will back soon with my magazine reviews and playlist to keep you motivated!

Enter to win this DVD!

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

It’s winter here in Brooklyn but my spirits are bright. As some of you may know—my sweet Tuxedo cat “T” has had some behavioral issues which I have had to address. So far she is responding well to her medicine which is a big relief for me. Dealing with the chaos of her health issues has caused me to look at my life in a very direct way (which is not my favorite thing, for sure.)

I have decided that I have been inviting unrest and anxiety into my life and need to shut it down NOW. I will go into it later in the Vlog but let just say—it is never too early to begin “Spring Cleaning!”

So in today’s “News & Notes” a few things happening in my life and in the Vlog I talk about how you can enter to win a very cool DVD. Yes—you have to actually watch the Vlog in order to have a chance to win. I will keep short & sweet—promise!

Brooklyn Fit Chick News & Notes/Vlog 109:

  • Book Vs Movie Podcast News: Margo Porras of Shes Nacho Mama’s Blog and I are having a ball working on our podcast “Book Vs. Movie” and our next episode should be pretty amazing—The Godfather! If you have never read the book from Mario Puzo you need to right away. It is a HOOT and a holler. In the meantime would you be so kind as to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter @bookversusmovie? Also, let us know which books & films you would like us to cover! (Merci!)
  • Smoking Hot Bob Harper: I am lucky to call myself a “Fit Bottomed Girl” who gets to cover special events in New York City on behalf of them (score!) A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend a workout created by Bob Harper for Daily Burn.com and wrote all about it in this post right here. Let me say this—the man is as super sexy in real life as he is on TV. (Swoon!)
  • “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo: Several events in my life over the past year or so have made me terribly stressed and anxious so it was with great interest to me when my good friend recommended this Marie Kondo book as a way to find more peace and serenity in my everyday life. Kondo is a “Japanese Cleaning Consultant” who advises people to surround their homes with things that bring them joy. If you look at any item in your place and it does not give you “joy” (say a pair of ill-fitting jeans or a picture of someone you no longer care about) then you need to just let it go. I took her advice quite literally by giving away over 90% of my CD/Music collection in one fell swoop. I am not working through my bedroom and throwing old socks and crummy yoga pants with absolute glee. I recommend highly you get this book!
  • Barre Amped “Cardio Fat Burn” Giveaway: This week I am giving away a totally amazing DVD from ace instructor Suzanne Bowen (suzannebowenfitness.com) and if you want to win you have to actually view my Vlog post below because I am giving a special instruction that you need to follow in order when you post a comment. This giveaway is not sponsored and is open to the Continental U.S. only (Sorry Canadians!)

You can enter to win a copy of this book! Keep reading to find out how.

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

How are you all doing? I know it has been ages since we have seen each other but it seems as if my desire to have a “drama-free 2015” is a little off base as my sweet cat T is ill and I have been worried about taking proper care of her. I detailed it in a post last week but she has had behavior/neurological issues that we are treating with anti-anxiety medicine and she is responding well so far. At the four-week (Feb 28th) we will know better how she is doing. Keep her in your thoughts!

Anyway—it is FREEZING in the city right now so I am keeping myself busy indoors which includes getting back into the Blogging and Vlogging world and I have tons to discuss—so let’s get to it shall we?

Brooklyn Fit Chick News & Notes:

  • Fit Bottomed Girls “Love Yo’ Self” Playlist: I know that Valentine’s Day has come and gone but that doesn’t mean you do not have permission to demonstrate a little self-love and care throughout the year! I wrote this “Love Yo’ Self” playlist for Fit Bottomed Girls to give you all a little musical inspiration to do just that whenever you need a boost. So put some of those tunes on your player and have fun!
  • How to Keep Your Gym Clothes Stink-Free: My good friend Brandi asked me and a few fellow blogger pals our favorite tips for keeping gym things stink-free and you can read about it here! (TapGenes.com)
  • YogaLean Book Giveaway: The giveaways are back and this one is pretty amazing (I must say!) Beth Shaw (President & Founder of YogaFit) has a book out called YogaLean that is filled with yoga poses and yummy recipes to help you lose weight, tone up and live your healthiest life possible. (Follow them at YogaLean) This giveaway is only open to the Continental U.S. so—sorry Canada, Alaska and Hawaii residents! Details in the Vlog below.

Now on to this week’s Vlog and giveaway details (forgive me but I conflated like Brian Williams and mixed up the number for my Vlog. This is #108 for sure!)

“Envizulaizing” Box Jumps with Jonny Goldstein

Enter to win this kit!

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

It’s been over a week since my “dog bite/scratch” incident and my face is healing up very nicely. To get the full story just check out last week’s post plus I will give some details in the Vlog below. Thanks so much for all of the follow up and well wishes. You are all officially THE BEST.

Last week I also caught that nasty cold that has been hanging around Brooklyn so that was the big reason I could not film my Vlog last week. I was not embarrassed about how I look but could not promise a cough-free episode and ain’t nobody got time for that! So let me get though today’s news and then we will talk about this week’s new giveaway (Weight Watchers Ultimate Dance Kit.)

  • Book Vs Movie Podcast: We are now hosted by Libsyn which means the episodes will be edited down and (mostly) error-free from now on so be sure to subscribe to us at our new link on iTunes right here https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/bookvsmovies-podcast/id954110320?mt=2 and stay tuned for our next episode—Primary Colors. Margo P. and I will talk about the Joe Klein book and the Mike Nichols We are always looking for suggestions so let me know what you would like for us to cover next!
  • Fit Bottomed Girls New Year/New Rear Challenge: Y’all know that I am a card-carrying, proud member of the Fit Bottomed Girls Every January Jenn, Erin & Co. create a month’s worth of challenges to get you excited about the new year and also tackle some long-held fitness goals. Be sure to check them out every single day and get 2015 off to the right start!
  • Exercises the Experts Ditched: Speaking of Fit Bottomed Girls—I am proud to day I wrote this feature asking the top fitness experts on the exercises they no longer do and what they do to replace them which you can check out here.
  • New York Times’ “Race to the Front Row” Article: This past Thursday my spin class students kept saying to me did you read about “the front row” in the New York Times? It’s a feature that basically talks about the cache of being in the front row for certain fitness classes. I am not a big fan of the teacher-worship culture that exists in the fitness world. The way I see it—some people want fans and some people want students. I want students and I hate the idea people are made to feel like garbage for not being good enough to be seen in a classroom that they paid upwards of $35 to attend. But, that is just me. What do you think? I really want to know!
  • Envizualizing My Next Fitness Goal (The Box Jump!) Going back to Fit Bottomed Girls again—I told the lovely Jenn that my big fitness goal is to perform rad box jump. She said “go for it!” and “get me the post by early March” so I guess it is time to get to work! So this past weekend at one of the gyms where I work Pongo Power we celebrated our first anniversary with a party that include a station with artist Jonny Goldsetin who helps people map out their goals with a mixture of talk therapy and an original piece of artwork from Jonny. Here is his “Envizualize” version of my first box jump. I think it is pretty neat! (Thanks Jonny!)

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog 105: Podcast News, The Word’s Strongest Coffee & a Yoga Kit Giveaway! 23

Tria Hair Removal System Tryout, Death Wish Coffee, “Space Cadets” in the Classroom

Plus: The Element Yoga Kit Giveaway!

Enter to win this yoga kit!

Enter to win this yoga kit!

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

Can you believe there are only two weeks left in the year? Where did all the time go? I have been thinking about all of the events that happened in my life in 2014 and I am grateful to embark on a new year with so many new possibilities. So what I am I excited about this week? Check out just a few things that are making me happy right now.

  • Book Vs Movie Podcast: If there is someone I am grateful for this year it is Margo Porras of She’s Nacho Mama’s Blog as she had the guts to try and start a podcast with me on a moment’s notice. Well “Book vs. Movie” is now going to a new home and we are going to be producing it ourselves (with a big amount of help from Libsyn.com) with a new logo, website—the whole kit and caboodle. Here is our first properly edited episode, coming up in January (a few short weeks away!) we will begin our first episode of the New Year talking about Joe Klein’s Primary Colors which was turned into a movie in 1998 and directed by Mike Nichols whom we sadly lost this past year. Get ready to get political!

  • Tria Hair Removal System: I will give my full review in two weeks but I so far really like my Tria hair Removal System which is showing signs of working well for me. The places where I had some funky hair issues (including my upper lip—embarrassing!) It is very convenient and does hurt at all. Do any of you remember that horrible product Nads? Where your put that goop on your arms and it hurt like hell? Not true here but as I said I am giving a full review in two weeks.) NOTE: Tria sent me the product for free but the review and opinions are my own.

 33838_31903_Tria_HRLp_Precsn_Lft_Side_Pink_R3_CMYK

  • Death Wish Coffee! Thanks to my new Fitbloggin friend (and Secret Santa!) I have a pound of Death Wish coffee to greet me every morning. This is supposed to be the “world’s strongest coffee” and my 7 am spin class tomorrow will find out if this is truly the case. (Thanks again Danielle!)
  • Space Cadets in The Classroom: I am asking my fellow instructors out there—do you have a space cadet in your classroom. Someone who just zones out and barely pays attention to anything happening in the room? My instinct is to just leave them alone. Have you ever dealt with this issue? Sometimes fellow students remark about it but I have never confronted the person about it. Is that the best thing to do? Let me know what you think!
  • My Newest Giveaway—A Yoga Extravaganza! If you ready to start practicing yoga but not sure how to begin then have I got the giveaway for you! The Element Beginner Yoga Kit which includes three yoga DVDs, a set of yoga blocks and a yoga strap can be yours. But you MUST follow the rules in order to win! (Continental U.S. Only!) Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Ep 103: Jarvis Cocker, “Text Neck,” “Spin Thighs” Bunk Plus Weight Watchers Stability Ball Giveaway! 18

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Episode #103

Jarvis Cocker “I’m Still Here”

Tracy Anderson’s “Spin” Bunk, The Scourge of the “Text Neck”

Bridget Jones Diary on Book Vs Movie Podcast

Plus: Weight Watchers Stability Ball Kit Giveaway!

ww stability ball kit 3d

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

How are you all? Are you good? Me? Thank you for asking—my week started out a big bucket of suck and ended kind of “meh” for me.

Have you ever attempted a challenge and then thought “Can I really be this lame?” I had an unfortunate encounter with someone that I don’t want to dwell on too much but let’s just say their demeanor towards me was the cherry on top of the sh*t sundae that is 2014. Yep, this year has not been that great for me with tons of personal stuff going on that I don’t like to expose to you fine people.

Yet every day I get out of bed and keep working on goals. I have an idea I want to manifest in my life. It’s been tougher than I expected but I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. It may take another year of ten years but I am going to bring my dream to life! Whenever I feel broken down, ridiculed, humiliated I remind myself that hell—I am STILL HERE. This is my theme song sung by Jarvis Cocker (written be Stephen Sondheim) and I want to share it with any of you out there that could use a boost (You’re welcome!)

Okay now that we all feel empowered; let’s get on to this week’s news and giveaway!

  • Wobble Board Self-Challenge: This is my third week using my Go Fit wobble board whenever I am checking e-mails at my desk. I have a standing desk which I know is better for me than sitting all day but I still tend to stoop over and my posture is suffering.  Overall my experience is that the Wobble Board has been an excellent way for me to proprioceptively challenge my body while still getting work done. Win/win! (No one paid me to say this by the way. I bought it with my own money and this is my true opinion.)
  • Tracy Anderson—the “No Certification Owning Celebrity Personal Trainer” Thinks Spin Classes Make Bulky Thighs: If you know me—you know I have some issues with Tracy Anderson and her offbeat ideas on training and nutrition. First the woman instructs her female clients should never use a weight heavier than 3 pounds because it will give create big arms. (Seriously.) She also sold a diet program a few years ago which was in essence promoting deprivation. Now she is telling the Daily Mail that Spin classes will make you gain weight! This is utter nonsense and it makes me crazy. I will include a sample of her “Dynamic Eating Plan” that was supposed to help you lose weight and detox (another word I hate.) Take a look at it for yourself and tell me if this would satisfy you after working out for her recommended 60-90 minutes per day EVERY DAY!

Tracy Anderson Plan 001

Let me confess that I do rather enjoy her mat routines (leg lifts) even though they kill me. She is an interesting choreographer and seems to really put a great deal of effort of trying to make the old look new which is not easy.  However, her fitness advice is not always backed by science so keep that in mind when reading her pronouncements.

What else do I want to talk about today?

  • Do You Know About “Text Neck?” Also from the Daily Mail is this article talking about how poor posture and stooping your neck down to check your phone will add up to 60 pounds of pressure on your neck! That is not good in case you are wondering. Compensations like this can cause major health issues so please take the time and make sure your head and neck are in proper alignment throughout the day!
  • Key & Peele’s Aerobics Challenge: For all of you who love the 1987 clip of the Crystal Light Aerobics Championship that hit the internet this past week you have to check out this hilarious (and very dark) spoof from Key & Peele which is accurate down to the use of the music.
  • Book vs. Movie “Bridget Jones’s Diary”: So what book are we tackling next on the Book vs. Movie podcast? Margo P. (aka “She’s Nacho Mama” and me will talk about the hit book that came out in 1995 (!) plus the beloved film starring initially controversial choice Renee Zellweger so get your granny panties ready for a good chat. (Podcast drop date to come soon!) In the meantime feel free to “like” our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. (Namaste!)
  • Weight Watchers Stability Ball Kit Giveaway: Do you want to win a Weight Watchers Stability Ball Kit? Well then check out the Vlog below and find out how to win! (Continental U.S.only)

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Ep 102: Amazing Fighters of Sexism, NYC Fit Bloggin Meet Up and More! 1

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Episode #102

The Amazing Erin Brown and The Awesome Karl Stefanovic,

 NYC Fitbloggin Tweet-Up Date!!

Plus: Book vs. Movie Podcast “Wizard of Oz” Is Live!

Me

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

How is everyone today? I had a crazy busy weekend and could not seem to find the time to get to this post but darn it—I am going to make it happen today. This week I want to present a couple of my favorite news stories and posts from this past week plus I drop a hint about the next NYC Meet-Up for Fitbloggin Peeps. Oh, and we have a new episode of Book Vs Movie where we talk about the Merry Old land of Oz so let’s get to it—shall we!

  • The Fabulous Erin Brown: I am a longtime fan of Erin Brown who is an inspirational gal who describes herself as “ Writer. Lecturer. Wellness junkie. Bad ass mother. Woman. I am Erin Brown.” Erin is a feminist and is a tireless supporter of women and protector of body images. If you want to learn about this fantastic lady and why I worship her…check out this post in particular. Erin is out to bash the body-shamers to bits!

  • The Awesome Aussie Karl Stefanovic: If you don’t know about Karl—he is the host of Australia’s version of the Today Show and this righteous dude was tired of hearing his female co-hosts get criticized for their appearance so he took on the task of wearing the same exact suit every day for a year (he only changed his tie) to prove that men are judges far less harshly for how they look. Well guess what—not ONE person noticed he was wearing the same outfit every day. No one. You can read all about his here from the Buzz Feed article and check out this clip from his colleague Lisa Wilkinson who spoke out about sexism in the media industry.

  • NYC-Fitbloggin Meet-Up: I am a little nervous about posting this as the Fitbloggin group on Facebook is “super-secret” but if you are a member—I am setting up a drinks date for Saturday, December 6th at 2 pm for the NYC area fitbloggin peeps. If you want to join us go check out the details on Facebook!

  • Book vs. Movie Takes on “The Wizard of Oz” The lovely Margo P. and I had a fun chat last week for our Book vs. Movie podcast talking about the crazy differences between the book and movie The Wizard of Oz which you can listen to by subscribing to us on iTunes! Our next episode will be about the “Rom Com” classic Bridget Jones’ Diary. Can’t wait to dive into that one!

Now on to this week’s Vlog and giveaway details!

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Ep 101: “Wobble Board” Challenge, Spin Class Fail, Yoga DVD Giveaway & More! 8

Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog Episode #101

My Go Fit Wobble Board Challenge, Spin Class Video Fail, Students With Body Dysmorphia (Fellow Instructors—Please Help Me!)

Book Vs Movie Podcast Takes on “Oz”

Plus: Element: 5-Day Yoga DVD Giveaway!

Enter to win this yoga DVD!

Enter to win this yoga DVD!

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

I am back in the saddle of Blogging and Vlogging and have SO much to tell you all that I think I am going to burst! It’s been a hectic week here and I have much to share (including a new yoga DVD giveaway) so let’s get to it shall we?

  • My Go Fit Wobble Board Self-Challenge: For almost three years now I have been working at a standing desk which I thought would help my core but lately realize that I am still not engaging myself proprioceptively—in other words my sense of balance is hardly ever challenged and my shoulders are showing signs of not-cute stooping. YIKES! So I am challenging myself to try and balance on a Go Fit wobble board whenever I am checking e-mails at my desk. It’s been two days so far and let me tell y’all—standing on a wobble board is hard as hell! So far I have found it to be a humbling experiment but I am going to report back to you all in one month to let you know my progress with it. (Shoot–now I am making myself accountable, huh?)
  • Whoa-This is a Spin Class FAIL: I have seen this video of a super-rowdy spin class all over the place and boy do I hate to be the spoil sport here but this is NOT a regulation indoor cycling class. I have been teaching for almost 10 years now and can spot terrible form all over the room (with WAY too much stress upper back/trapezius muscles) and the moves are just not safe! Okay, yes—they are exercising and having fun. The spirit in the room is truly inspiring, but I have to say that beware of any spin class where you are out of the saddle and doing crazy moves. (And for love of all that is healthy and sane in this world—enough with the damn “push-ups” on handlebars!) I go into more detail in the Vlog below on why this video is a big bucket of NOPE in my book.
  • Students With Possible Body Dysmorphia: Fellow instructors please help me! I have a student who takes my boot camp class who is so upset about wanting to lose five pounds she wants to drop my class because I am not “intense” enough for her. Let me make this clear—if I thought I was the issue I would walk away and wish her well. But this young lady does NOT need to lose weight and I am worried she has body dysmorphia. I am not her therapist but feel a responsibility towards her. Any advice for me on how I should handle this situation? Thank you in advance!!

And now for more fun topics!

  • Book vs. Movie “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”: Up next on the Book vs. Movie podcast Margo P. (aka “She’s Nacho Mama”) and I are taking on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (the 1900 book and the 1939 classic film) with the episode to drop on iTunes and Sticher this Friday evening November 14th. Let me say this—if you think the book that was the source for movie The Wizard of Oz was sweet & fun you have NO idea how truly twisted the Frank L. Baum classic is. So hang tight for that episode and if you haven’t done so already feel free to “like” our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. (Namaste!)
  • 5-Day Yoga DVD Giveaway: Do you promise yourself to make more time for yoga and yet can never seem to fit it into your day? (Hanging my head in shame..) Then this is the giveaway you have been waiting for because today I am giving one copy of Element: 5-Day Yoga to one lucky person this week. Check out how to win from the Vlog below and good luck to all of you. (Well—the Continental U.S. peeps as they are the only ones who can enter this giveaway!)

Now on to this week’s Vlog and giveaway details!

NEW “ELEMENT: 5 DAY YOGA” DVD OFFERS LOTS OF YOGA AND LOTS OF OPTIONS!

As with all Element DVDs, “5 Day Yoga” was filmed in a lush, tranquil location overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

There are 5 different 15-minute sessions to choose from:

Strength + Stamina focuses on toning the lower body with a strong series of standing poses.

Energy + Flexibility is an energizing and uplifting sequence designed to increase flexibility, release physical tension.

Core Power fires up the abdominals, hitting them from every angle.

Today’s Vlog post (my 99TH!) features a new yoga DVD as a giveaway (perfect for AM & PM workouts), the details of the latest episode of “Book Vs Movie” where we tackle the spooky classic “Carrie” and the news of a total jerkoff who wants to fat-shame the universe. Her name is Katie Hopkins and I absolutely loathe this woman.

Up in iTunes right now and on Stitcher is the next episode of Book vs. Movie podcast where we dive into the 1970s classic (meaning the novel by Stephen King and the movie by Brian ) We are quite proud of it and hope you like it as well. • Terrible Human Being Alert: There is a person out there named Katie Hopkins who wants to prove once and for a all there are NO excuses for being overweight. So she gained 50 pounds on purpose to prove it is only about food intake and exercise when it comes to being skinny or fat. Nothing else could possibly be the reason and she has such a mean, smug face that she is one of the few people I want to slap in public. No more fat-shaming, people. It literally helps NO ONE!

Well then you are in luck because I am giving away one copy of Element: Daily Yoga with certified yoga instructor Mia Togo to one lucky person this week. More Information about the Element: Daily Yoga giveaway:

A LITTLE YOGA CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING! TRY IT WITH THE NEW

“ELEMENT: DAILY  YOGA”  DVD

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Los Angeles based yoga instructor Mia Togo believes that a little yoga in the morning and a little yoga in the evening can not only improve one’s day but can actually change their life. The newest DVD in the best-selling Element series offers two 40-minute practices to help people experience the positive changes that yoga can bring about. “Element: Daily Yoga” will be available in stores and on Amazon for $14.98 (suggested retail price) beginning December 2, 2014 from Anchor Bay Entertainment. The morning practice will help users tone, energize and invigorate while the evening practice will stretch, calm and restore body and mind.  As with all Element DVDs, “Daily Yoga” was filmed in a serene garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The morning sequence begins with an energizing flow to stimulate circulation, build muscle tone and provide an overall energy boost. It progresses to an invigorating stretch to promote flexibility and ends with a grounding savasana to cultivate clarity and focus on what is truly meaningful in the day to come. The evening sequence is designed to release the stress and tension that accrues throughout the day. It will restore energy with a combination of gentle exercises to relieve tension in the neck and shoulders, detoxifying twists to help revitalize the spine and deep stretches to release tight muscles and let that life force flow freely. This sequence will help create peace of mind to prepare for a restful night’s sleep and bring calm focus to navigate through the twists and turns of life.

These yoga practices are appropriate for all levels of fitness and for those who may be new to yoga. Those who already enjoy yoga will also gain from Togo’s unique style. Nothing more than a mat and towel are needed for these programs.

Teaching yoga for over 10 years in the Los Angeles area, Mia Togo is a certified yoga instructor and certified life coach with a degree in Psychology from UCLA. She has led classes at Wanderlust festivals. Before discovering yoga, Toga was a professional dancer and had performed with Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson and Cindy Lauper.
