About Brooklyn Fit Chick

Welcome to “Brooklyn Fit Chick!”

My name is Margo and this here is my very own Blog. I like to write about fitness, health, Paleo living, music and pop culture. Brooklyn is where I both live and work with my certifications in Group Fitness and Personal Training from NASM, AFAA, ACE and TRX. I am an ambassador for Fit Approach/Sweat Pink, Fit Mapped and Sweaty Betties.

When I am not working, cycling, reading, listening to music, shopping, cooking or attempting a power chord on my dusty guitar–you can find me catching up on my favorite shows on my DVR.  I am a big fan of furry creatures with two kitty cats (Sarah & Tennessee.)

I am “PR Friendly” but I advise you look over my site first before you start pitching away. Sponsored giveaways will be given special consideration. My e-mail is brooklynfitchick at g mail dot com.

Thanks for dropping by!

I think this is a great idea for a site. Your logo with the bike actually has given me an idea. Here where I live in San Diego, there is currently a push to make parts of the city more Bike Friendly.. Whatever we can do to get out there and be physical can only benefit our lives. Thank you for this site and I look forward to visiting often…

Hey BFC! I love Brooklyn and also your blog concept of including fitness and pop culture, music, etc. Just like cross-training, it’s important to link interests up too! If you’re looking for a new song to add to your playlist, my new fave is Serena Ryder – here’s a link to one of her songs: http://youtu.be/x-ml6r2aOyE

Great blog! Found it through Google. I am going to start studying to become a Personal Trainer. I am between NASM and AFAA. Do you have any recommendations as to which you prefer?

Hi Mitch! Are you already teaching Group Fitness? AFAA is a little easier than NASM and I think it is cheaper as well. Good luck!

    Hello Margo,
I’m Artur Macholla, co-founder of Game of Quests – a game + activity tracking app.
It’s a game where real life action matters. We encourage users to develop their avatars, but also themselves (in 3 areas: FITNESS, CULTURE, ECOLOGY).
It’s not another TO-DO list. We track and measure users activity so every quest could be verified.
Our first app is set in a fantasy world of elves, dwarves and humans.
In our world real actions counts, that’s why our motto is play & progress. We will encourage users to develop their avatars, but also themselves.
We have launched our beta app (available at google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameofquests.app )
We’ve also launched our crowdfunding campaign to collect funds for final release of our Andoid app and new iOS and WP apps. Check it out here: http://igg.me/at/GOQ
